About us:

We came together in 2016 when our city had a series of water boils, which was associated with the fossil fuel industry. In 2018, we begin fighting for Indigenous Rights, and received our first proclamation honoring the Indigenous Tribes of the Coastal Bend. In 2019, we received another proclamation, Indigenous Peoples Day, which would proclaim every 2nd Monday in October as such. Our mission is to preserve, conserve, and cultivate our culture in the Coastal Bend area, where all our ancestors once lived together.
